Our text message trading system is the best way to trade. Usually our skilled Barter Coaches will set you up in text message trading when we welcome you as a new member. But, sometimes you may change your number or need help along the way. Feel free to contact your Barter Coach or our office anytime at (502) 996-8809 to get help with text message banking.

Here's how to gettext messaging enabled!

On Android & Apple devices:
  1. Login or sign up for an account. Please setup fingerprint verification for your identify if your phone allows this feature.
  2. Activate your device as a "Trusted Device". We will need to send you an e-mail or text message to verify the device you logged in with is trusted. We suggest using "SMS" to verify. It's quick and easy! Just enter your confirmation code and hit submit. If successful, a green box will appear that says "this device is now activated as a trusted device".
  3. Tap the round gear icon at the top left of the main page of your app. Near the bottom of these options is an option to "enable <name of cell phone> for SMS". Tap it. 
  4. You will be required to verify that this is your cell phone number by sending a unique verification code to the number. Tap the "send verification code" option. A box will appear that says "the verification code has been sent via SMS".
  5. Once you recieve the code, enter it in the "verification code" field and press "confirm". 
  6. If successful, a confirmation message will appear.
In Our KTE Member Platform:
  1. Login or sign up for an account at https://members.kentuckianatrade.com.
  2. Click the "Personal" button in the main navigation bar at the top. 
  3. Click "Edit" next to your business name. 
  4. Click the "Phones" tab.
  5. Click the "New" drop down menu and select "cell Phone". Enter a name for the number and the number. Select if you'd like it to be hidden from other members by selecting "Private". Select "Save".

    If you've already added the number, but not verified it, you can skip this step.
  6. Click the "Enable For SMS" button below the number. 
  7. Click "Send Verification Code". 
  8. Enter the verification code and click the "Confirm" button at the bottom of the popup window. If verified correctly, the number should now show "Verified: Yes" in the information for the number.

From your verified KTE Cell Phone, text (502) 212-5266 the following commands:

To Check Your KTE Member Balance:
  • Text "balance" to (502) 212-5266. 
To Make A Payment:
  • By Username: Text "pay username amount" to (502) 212-5266
    • Example: to pay $25 to memberusername you would text "pay memberusername 25".
  • By Cell Phone (BOTH CELL PHONES MUST be verified): Text "pay cellphone amount" to (502) 212-5266.
    • Example: to pay $25 to (502) 212-5266 you would write "pay 5022125266 25".
